Is HYPD Read-Only? Can It Make Changes to My Account?

HYPD cannot change anything in your ad accounts — here is exactly what that means.

HYPD is read-only.

It can see your campaigns and performance data but cannot make changes to your accounts — no edits to budgets, bids, ads, keywords, or settings. This applies to every connected platform: Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Merchant Center, and Meta Ads.

But Google's consent screen says "edit, create and delete"?

Google only offers one permission scope for Ads accounts, and its wording mentions broader access. HYPD uses this scope strictly for read operations — it never edits, creates, or deletes anything. The same applies to Merchant Center, where Google's only available scope is worded as "manage your product listings".

What about recommendations?

HYPD gives you recommendations — for example a negative keyword list or budget reallocation suggestions — and you implement them in the platform. Nothing is applied automatically.

What's on the roadmap?

Campaign actions are planned for the future, and they are being built deliberately:

  • Deterministic — changes will be executed by tested logic, not by an AI writing to the API directly.
  • Human in the loop — every change will require your review and approval.
  • Fully logged — a complete history of what changed and why, not just that it happened.

Until then: strictly read-only.
